As the End Approaches

I’m very sad to say that when this school year ends, I will no longer be a third grade teacher at my current school.

That said, I’m sure that I will land a great position at a great school. The search has been on for just over a month and I plan to keep on pushing through with hopes that I will find another dream position just like this one!

As the end approaches, I am overwhelmed with feelings of gratefulness for the opportunity to serve at this school and work with the wonderful people that I call my coworkers. I feel empowered by the growth I have been able to make as a first year teacher during these tough pandemic times.

This experience has made me a better educator and my career has only just begun!

Thank you to everyone at Excel Academy

My students have also made a huge impact on my life. I began my career in education because I wanted to make a difference in the world one child at a time. But the truth is my students are the ones making the difference. They make an impact on my life every day. They make me feel so proud to be their teacher and they teach me new things with each moment we are together in the classroom. I love my students and I am so proud of each and every one of them. They are great students, learners, people and future leaders that will change the world. One day at a time.

Keep pushing through DeGrote Dalmatians! I know you can achieve anything you put your mind to!
