Impressed

The state research projects are coming along so well! I am so impressed with the focus and commitment to their states that the students are showing. Every day when we work on our posters and google slides, the kiddos ask if they can work on them even more later in the day. Or even stay in for recess to work on them! Wow! We are starting our presentations next week and I can not wait to hear about all that they kids learned about their states.

Excited!

I am also excited to announce a week-long project that we are starting on Tuesday. Since we don’t have school on Monday, our zoo project for math will start Tuesday. Students will design a zoo. Starting with the budget and purchasing of animals, they will move to designing the layout of their zoo. Money math, measurements, area and perimeter are all involved. This project will replace all homework (which the kids love!) and will help really put the knowledge we’ve gained from the last few weeks to the test.
